Testing Services
Testing for safety, reliability, performance and compliance.
Cord Master Engineering offers testing services, including hipot testing, pull testing and continuity testing to ensure your products meets all application requirements, safety and compliance standards. Cord Master is IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified and committed to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards for building and testing cable assemblies and wire harness assemblies.
Hipot Testing
Cord Master can test for electrical safety with a Hipot (derived from High Potential) test. A Hipot test, also referred to as a dielectric strength test, is an electrical test to determine the efficacy of a product's electrical insulation to make sure it meets safety and quality standards.
Continuity Test
Cord Master can test for reliability and performance with a Continuity test. A Continuity test will test the electrical circuit to determine electrical flow, and can also be used to identify connection problems.
Pull Testing
Cord Master can measure the strength and durability of wire bonds with a pull test. A simple wire pull test will determine if the strength of your wire bonds meet compliance standards.
IPC/WHMA-A-620
The IPC/WHMA-A-620 is the most widely used inspection specification for the cable and wire harness assembly industry. Cord Master tests to IPC/WHMA-A-620 accept/reject criteria to ensure the quality of cable and wire harness assemblies.
